Shadow Box Saturday - Christmas Edition

Christmas is around the corner!  So, yesterday I had a couple of friends over and we decided to create some Christmas Shadow Boxes.

Shadow Boxes use Square1 (not vinyl).  This product is so much easier to use!

Shadow Box:  Dashing Through the Snow

  • Shadow Box is 8" x 10" in size.
  • Text = purchased in the Silhouette store #14488 and sized at 3.38" in height.  Printed and cut using Square1 (not vinyl).  Once applied to glass, the "dashing" was highlighted with silver Stickles and "Snow" was highlighted with diamond Stickles.
  • Sleigh and Horse = purchased in the Silhouette store #35070 and sized at 2.855" in height.
  • Inside Shadow Box = designer paper from Recollections.  White tulle with silver accents was bunched up and added to give snowy effect.
  • Bow = three red glitter jingle bells and one silver jingle bell attached with curling ribbon to white tulle.  Entire bow attached to shadow box using hot glue.

Gingerbread Man Shadow Box

Here's a fun Christmas project made with an 8" x 10" shadow box and Square1 printable.  Once created, I hung this on a wall in my kitchen.

Sugar and spice make the Holidays nice!
  • Shadow Box:  8" x 10" purchased at Michaels.  They usually are packaged in a group of 3.
  • Background paper:  glitter paper.  I purchased this in a pack from My Craft Spot.
  • Gingerbread Man and Text:  Images created on my Silhouette Cameo.  Shadow added around green text (using offset feature).  Images are sized at 5".  Once created, they were printed on Square1 printable and cut using the Silhouette.
  • Cinnamon Sticks:  The cinnamon sticks inside the shadow box were purchased at my local grocery store.
