Pain Relief Creme

Hello, Friends!  Marilyn here with a creme to relieve body pain.  I found this recipe on an Essential Oil Facebook Group called Only One Drop.   The post for the creme had several comments claiming the the creme relieved grandma's arthritis and swelling.

I have to say that at the time of this post, I have not personally tried the creme.  My husband has knee pain and my sister-in-law suffers from painful arthritis.  I plan on using them as my test guinea pigs.

Pain Relief Creme

The recipe is pretty simple:

Pain Relief Creme
1/4 cup coconut oil
10 drops PanAway Essential Oil
10 drops Valor Essential Oil
10 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
10 drops Frankincense Essential Oil
10 drops Copaiba Essential Oil

Essential Oils, Coconut Oil

Whip all ingredients together and store in a glass jar.

All ingredients whipped together and ready to store in glass jars

The creme feels pretty greasy.  I plan on storing the creme in my refrigerator.

I really hope this works well for my husband and sister-in-law. ~ Marilyn

Peppermint Lip Scrub / Breath Freshener

Anyone have dry lips?  Here's a tutorial to make your own natural lip scrub that doubles as a breath freshener.  I found this recipe originally on Pinterest by OneGoodThing.

Peppermint Lip Scrub / Breath Freshener

Ingredients:

  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 teaspoon coconut oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon honey
  • 3 - 4 drops Peppermint Essential Oil
  • Small glass jar

Mix together with a fork or spoon all of the above ingredients.

Place all the mixed ingredients into a small glass jar.

Add a 1 inch label.

To apply, put a small amount on your finger and rub on lips in a circular motion.  As an added bonus, you can lick you lips for fresh breath!

Hope you enjoyed today's tutorial!  ~ Marilyn

DIY Body Butter

Hello, Friends!  I absolutely love body butter.   I love the creamy and fluffy-ness of it.   So, last January when I was invited to attend a make-and-take on lavender body butter, I happily attended.   The recipe below is from a Young Living Essential Oil group called Only One Drop.  Their web site is onlyonedrop.com and they are also on Facebook.

Well, January has come and gone and now I'm needing more body butter.  So, here I go.  I'm using their recipe and making my own.   I switching out the Lavender Essential Oil for Peppermint Essential Oil.  Why?  My order for the lavender has not arrived yet.   So, I'm using what I have.  LOL!  Hope I love it as much as the lavender version.
